Didi is seven months

Wow! already my little brother is seven months and just this week Mammy took him for his six months shots and weigh in. He was superb and hardly even made a peep when he got his shots. For the first one, he kept on smiling and for the second intramuscular he only let out a little cry. He weighed in at 7.9kg which is at the 25-50th percentile. His head circumference is about the same at 25th percentile and his length at 69.5 cm at the 75th percentile. He's a tall one! And he has just cut his first tooth. Now, he is eating peas, carrots, yams, congee, pear and banana.

My update is that I have finally learned to go potty. From the inital days when Porpor was here, I had a set back. I decided that I had had enough and didnt want to bother with the potty. I was pooing behind the couch in my diaper and there was no way I would get on the potty. Recently, Inga and Barbara at the preschool has encouraged me and insisted to Mammy that I was ready. So we went cold turkey into the undies and rarely since have I had an accident. (except last week at the Bay when Mammy had to run from the cafeteria into the childrens dept to buy me undies and new skirt and pants, then whip me into the bathroom to change me. Really it was their fault for not asking if I needed to go potty before leaving the house). Initally I refused to go but recently I have been consistent about asking to go and going on my own on the big potty and sometimes wiping myself and washing my hands too without being asked. I am pretty proud and everyone is proud of me too.

Meet up at the park

This past weekend we met up with some of Mammy's friends from her meet-up group for Anderson's first birthday. There were plenty of babies around the same age as Lucas but I was the eldest one. So I mostly played with Daddy on the swing and slides. Lucas was a bit cranky since he didnt nap enough but there are always ways to make him laugh. All Mammy had to do was bounce him a bit as she pretended to do a little run and he was giggly all over! We enjoyed the fall leaves and wished there was more time to take some pics of the fall colors and me playing in the leaves. Oh well, maybe next weekend!

Thanksgiving

Well we have a lot to be thankful for this thanksgiving. We were able to share this beautiful weekend with the family and celebrate Yehyeh's B day. Kuma made some fabulous meals. Thank-you Kuma for all your hard work, planning and delicious cooking! She made dessert for both nights including a coffee cake for Yehyeh's B day. I enjoyed helping him blow out his candles. She also made apple crumble and Sarah and Uncle mike made a lemon merringe pie. MMMM...yummy! The turkey dinner, turkey congee and turkey pie was also delicious! We then had a day at the farm where we explored the enchanted forest, went on a horse and carriage ride, climbed on some bails of hay, slid down a drain tube, fed some goats, horses and watched the cows. I also loved playing with Olivia's beads and wearing the jewelry that we made and trying some of the jewelry on Uncle Mike. What a great weekend we had!

More of Good Didi Photo's

He is just so photogenic because of that easy smile. It is easy to get many of these good photos of him and here is just another one.

A Day with Ila

Many weeks past now, we had the opportunity of spending a day with some friends that we hadnt seen in a long time. Ila, Uncle Paul, Auntie Grace met us at a park. Since we live so far from each other, it is hard to arrange a time to play together but we sure had a lot of fun that day. We rode on a train, shared some picnic food and played at the castle. I sure hope that we can see them again soon. I really do like Ila! We sure did run around a lot that day!

Eating Mammy's B day cake

A few weeks past now we spent a sunday with Yehyeh, Mama, Uncle mike, Auntie May, Sarah and Olivia. It was Mammy's B day and Uncle Mike's B day was also in the upcoming week. We had 2 great cakes, one of which I could not eat because it had cream but one that auntie May made especially for me, a meringue with berries. Yummy good. Mammy got a waffle maker from the family and a box of chocolates both of which she is enjoying. Uncle Mike got some glasses, a hat with cool headlights and a basketball.
