Butterflies

When we are at parks I often notice when butterflies come to visit. I quite enjoy watching them and chasing them around. So yesterday we went to a butterfly conservatory and wow were there ever a lot of butterflies!! Dozens and dozens were flying around me and there were simply too many to count. I didn't need to chase them around...I think they were chasing me! One even landed on my Daddy's arm so we got a super close look at it. So pretty. It was a great way to spend an otherwise raining day.
Zoo

We had a membership last year to the big city Zoo and it was fun, but it is huge for us little people and can be quite tiring if want to see a lot of exhibits. This year we decided to go to a different zoo and it turned out to be a great idea. Its much smaller but feels quaint and so much more interactive. Plus there is lots of grass to walk on and SHADE! They even have signs up that tell us to FEED THE ANIMALS! Yippee, we got to get up close and personal with all kinds of animals. We were a little hesitant at first to stick our hands into their mouths, but once we tried it was fun to feed them the biscuits which the zoo sells expressly for feeding. We really enjoyed spending the day with our friends Russell, Ava and their mammy and daddy.
Camping

I've had this idea about going camping for a few weeks. I didn't even really know what it was, but I kept talking about it. Mammy and Baba were interested to go but didn't have any equipment. Their friends one day asked if we were interested and that they were planning to next week. Well we decided the opportunity was just right. So mammy did some research and went on a BIG shopping spree buying up a car load of camping equipment from a tent to beds and stove and pots and tarps and the list goes on...
So, with that in hand we were ready to go camping!! Yippeeee. We met one of my best friends Eva and her family as well as Angi and her kids. Angi helped Baba set up our cool tent. Everything was just perfect and we enjoyed roasting marshmellows, running through the forest and sleeping under the stars! We want to go again soon.
Pool Party

Auntie Sheryl and uncle Mike invited lots of friends over for a pool party on a beautiful summer afternoon. We had such an amazing time swimming, eating, swinging, jumping, blowing bubbles, and all around being silly and having fun. I really enjoyed using my friend Julia's swim donut that mammy bought me one of my own even though we don't have a pool. I jumped into the pool so many times all by myself. I even found new courage to dunk my head under water and open my eyes. I sure had fun. Lucas was much less brave. He held onto Baba when he went into the water and didn't stay in as long as I did, but he had lots of fun running around the pool nonetheless. We didn't want to leave at the end of the day. For days after I begged Daddy to go back again! I understand that mammy and daddy are contemplating getting a house with a pool one day as they enjoyed seeing us having so much fun.
