New clothes

Christmas was all about the kids. That means ME. And so it will be so for the next 25 years at least. I wonder if Mammy and Daddy are jealous. Daddy says he wouldn't want it any other way. He also says that "It is an incredible feeling it is to watch your child be amazed and amused and delighted!" That too would be ME!
Here I am wearing some new clothes. The vest is from Auntie, uncle and cousins from the East. It fits perfect and will be very handy. I love the ribbon....especially to put in my mouth!
The knit outfit is from Porpor who spent hours and hours making it for me! Mammy has a matching touque.

Baby and toddler party

I got to go to a party hosted by Auntie Juliet and uncle David! There were lots of kids my age and tons of toys to play with. I received a lot of gifts from all the aunties and uncles! Thank you very much, I like them a whole lot! I was a bit shy at the party and stuck on to my Mammy's leg. Many of the other kids were older than I and they could walk and run. I wish I could join them, but I'm not quite there yet. I enjoyed playing with Karis. I especially liked taking her soother, even though I don't much like my own. Somehow, other kids soothers taste better than mine!?
At one point, Ingrid sat right on top of me! I wasn't hurt at all, and her mommy said that Ingrid did that to show me that she likes me! I like her too and can't wait until I can walk around just like her! Thanks again for having us over, we all had fun!
Happy to see Maddy

Kau Fu and Porpor are happy to see me again. Last time Porpor saw me I was 2 weeks old. I am modelling a new dress from Porpor and it wasn't even Christmas yet! I know I am getting spoiled.

Being independent: Drinking from a sippy cup

I am learning to drink from a regular cup and daddy bought me these sippy cups that I can hold to give myself water. Recently also I have learnt to climb down the stairs as well as up the stairs. Mammy and Daddy havent yet caught me on video. I love to stand from the squatting position but I am not yet got enough balance to walk. So I am cautious about trying. Now I eat pretty much anything....chicken, beef, pork, fish, rice porridge, cherrios, arrowroot cookies, kidney beans, chick peas, carrots, potato, bread, apple, bannana, pears, grapes...Just to name a few things. I even had some Pho with Mammy and Daddy yesterday. Rice noodles with beef, bean sprouts, corriander and basil. Tried it all. No problem. Pretty yummy actually. I not ever had baby food from a bottle. That's for babies and I am a grown up little girl! Fruit especially I like straight from the source!

Checking out the Christmas tree

We enjoyed a visit to auntie Shahin and uncle Farhan's place this afternoon. They have a beautiful Christmas tree that looks like it came from a magazine!
Mammy and Daddy were very proud of me as I was extremely well behaved; especially considering I only had a 30 minute nap the entire day! I must be in the festive spirit!

Toss
Cheerios!

I've recently been introduced to this sweet, crunchy little treat! I don't have teeth yet, as you can see, but I still like how they crunch in my gums. How amazing! I can also pick up each cheerio using a pincer grasp. Almost always, I use my right hand to pick things up. (but I always suck my left thumb) There's so much for me to discover and I am enjoying it all very much!
