Getting Ready for Bed

Over the last week, Didi and I have been going to bed at the same time - 8pm. I have almost lost my nap and I get very tired and cranky by dinner time and Didi is being trained to sleep in. His nap too is getting later in the day. So we brush our teeth together and sit with Mammy together for the storytime. We each get to pick one book. And then off to bed we go. Soon we will be ready to be roomies.
On another note, Didi did something quite remarkable today. He set the table for dinner without being asked. He selected a fork and spoon for himself and I. He picked the right set for himself (green and blue) and the right set for me (pink and purple). He brought it over to the dinner table along with a bowl for the both of us. Then when dinner was ready, he picked up both bowls and carried them to the sink where Mammy was serving the pasta. This is all without being asked or told. Somehow he just knew what to do. This so much impressed Mammy and Baba that I was thoroughly jealous. I cried for about 20min straight and couldnt even concentrate on eating dinner because I was thinking about helping to clean up so that I could impress them too.

Cleaning

Didi likes to clean. Wipe down the floors and tables. Nice. Good help. Good boy! Also note the new $25 professional haircut.

What Fab Weather

This past weekend, we enjoyed lovely weather. Mammy pretended it was spring and for a moment we basked in the beautiful sunshine as though it was spring. We went to the park in the morning where I enjoyed picking up ladybugs and finding its Mammy, Daddy and little sibling and then I made a house for them. I carried my little ladybug in a water bottle cap while I looked around the park looking for its family and finally finding each individual in a different spot, under the slide, on the ladder and on a bright yellow autumn leaf.
Then in the afternoon, we had an absolute ball eating ice cream. Didi just went to town on the cone and beat me to the finish. He was so full of glee that he put down his cup to applaud!
