Cousin birthday TWO
J is growing up! We went to his house to celebrate his 2nd birthday this past weekend. Daddy said he thought J looked very different this time, much older looking! I would agree he seems to have lost some of the “baby” look. My brother and I enjoyed playing with some of his toys, and boy, he has a lot of toys. We especially liked his train set. Soon, Daddy thought it would be a good idea to get us out of the house, probably to burn off some energy. They decided to take us to an indoor play gym, which we love. It was fun to encourage and watch J go down the slide with his Daddy. He was a bit nervous each time, but always wanted to back for some more. My brother and I played hide and seek around the gym. After about two hours it was closing time and time to leave. We were excited to learn that we were heading back to Kau fu’s house for dinner, yeh!
At his house we played some more while dinner was being prepared. We all had party hats to wear. We had a delicious meal of carrot ginger sour, caesar salad, couscous, and one of our favourite; ribs! To top it all off, we had a chocolate cake! J mostly enjoyed the croutons, which he lovingly called cookies and later on he couldn’t get enough of the chocolate pieces from his cake! After dessert was gift opening time!! J had such enthusiasm opening his gifts, which he genuinely seemed to like. We were all very excited to watch him. At last it was getting late, and although we really wanted to stay longer, I was actually quite tired. I fell asleep quickly in the car and I think my brother fell asleep soon after me. I hope J went to bed ok, as he was still very excited when we left at 7:30, which was his bed time. It was a very fun time and we hope J a great second year!
